One week from today, we will be kicking-off ChurchMag’s Twelve Days of Christmas!
What exactly is it?
If you missed the announcement in our newsletter, let me tell you what we’re up to.
Giving
Inspired by #GivingTuesday, we began to think about what ChurchMag could do to give. We have a lot of readers and one of the most awesome communities on planet earth.
So what could we do?
As ChurchMag explores the intersection of faith and technology, it seemed best that we leverage our focus by engaging our community and using technology to do it. This is how ChurchMag’s Twelve Days of Christmas was born.
Twelve Days of Christmas
This is what we’re doing.
For 12-days, ChurchMag will take each day to highlight a ministry, mission, missionary, cause or non-profit. Many of these organizations make it easy to give around the holidays; in fact, a number of them offer gift catalogs whereby you can purchase something for someone in need, in the honor of someones name.
For example, a ministry that gives away Bibles, makes it easy for you to donate ten Bibles in honor of Uncle Joe. You can then send an email or print out a note letting your Uncle Joe know ten Bibles were donated in honor of him.
Talk about a more awesome way to celebrate Christmas! It beats giving some lame gift that will end up being returned anyway, right?
We Need Your Help
There’s one problem to this plan and you’re the solution.
We only have twelve days to do this, but there are more than twelve organizations worth mentioning.
So, we would like to invite you, yes you (and your blog of course), to join us in ChurchMag’s Twelve Days of Christmas!
How It Works
It easy. Simply post about your favorite ministry, mission, missionary, cause or non-profit, and link back to us. Once you’ve posted for the day, leave a comment on ChurchMag’s Twelve Days of Christmas post for the day and tell us the name of the organization you’ve highlighted and a link to your blog post, so we can all come and read about it!
This way, each day on ChurchMag, we will not only include the organization we’re highlighting, but it will also include your comments that link to many different blog posts sharing about organizations we can all come and learn about! How great is that!?!
This should make Christmas shopping for Uncle Joe way easy, don’t you think?
When
ChurchMag’s Twelve Days of Christmas will be starting on December 10th and end on December 21st. I know this isn’t the traditional 12-days of Christmas, but I wanted to make sure there was time for people to make donations and make it easier for everyone to join in. Who wants to worry about blog posts and links on Christmas Eve, right?

So if I am my own favorite missionary should I make a separate post or just link to the about me section of my blog? It seems a bit selfish of me to do this for myself, but apparently that’s my plan!
