On the third day of ChurchMag’s Twelve Days of Christmas (learn more) I would like to share with you an organization that I’ve watched grow for the last couple of years.
Starting as a Bible study group that learned about the imprisoned children of Uganda, Africa (yes, I said ‘imprisoned children’), Sixty Feet is making an eternal impact as it brings the hope of Jesus Christ.
Sixty Feet
From the Sixty Feet website:
“Sixty Feet is an action-based organization created to bring hope and restoration to the imprisoned children of Africa in Jesus’ name. We are not referring to a figurative prison of poverty or circumstance, but real places, with real bars.
To protect the children and our teams on the ground, we are referring to these places with fictitious names. Throughout this site you will learn about the facilities where our teams work every day of the week. We refer to them as “M1”, “M2” or “M3″, et cetera. It is not an attempt to make the children anonymous or to make their situation more palatable. It is for their safety.”
Here’s some video footage from “M”:

Incredible, right?
Can you imagine the United States keeping small children in prison while their case was tied-up in court for years?
Thankfully Sixty Feet is doing something about it!
This Christmas
This Christmas, take some time to do some Christmas shopping at Sixty Feet’s ‘Gifts of Life Catalog.’ Click around and consider gifting $15 to $250, and changing a child’s life on the other side of the world.
I’ve had the opportunity to speak with Sixty Feet and have been following them for a while now. They are a faithful and solid organization that has already done a lot with the little they’ve been given.
Please consider supporting Sixty Feet.
