Facebook Remembers Your Searches
Facebook has never been big on privacy.
The timeline caused a big uproar, because all of a sudden previous (embarrassing) posts and photos were visible again. People had to dig deep into their archives to remove stuff they wanted to be kept private.
Earlier this year, there was the big fuss about users names and photos being used in ads. After a lawsuit was filed, Facebook had to agree to make it clear to users that when they click to like a product on Facebook, their names and photos can be used to plug the product. Google Plus or Google Minus?
So, there’s been a bit of an increase in chatter of late regarding Google+, both here and on other websites. Now I haven’t been a real big fan of Google+ for all of the listed reasons, the biggest one being that none of my friends were or aren’t on it.

You know you have done it and estimates are at least one other person has done so. Maybe that person is a future or current employer, a long lost friend, or a stalking ex-girlfriend.
We’ve recently talk about this on ChurchMag before, what kind of content comes up and do you personally have control over what is being said?
Businesses, what are your employees’ Google results because that reflects on you. Churches and ministries, recognize that your church staff have an online profile and you really should look into what is being said, even if you are not currently doing a performance assessment.

Google+ Vanity URLs Available Soon
Google seems to always be in the news recently, but never because of “exponential growth with their Google+ platform.”
This time, Google+ is finally rolling out vanity URLs.
For those that do not know what they are, if you look at your own Google+ profile page, you will notice that the URL you use to redirect people to your page looks something like this: http://plus.google.com/109836416910621262146/. We previously shared with you a temporary fix to this issue, but it now seems that they are going to resolve this. The question is: why did they not do it sooner!
