It makes sense, after all, we often have a bit of a time to reflect between Christmas and New Years and the end of the calendar acts as a good prompt for reflection. Online giving is a necessity. But what about mobile giving?
There are churches that have raised the bar and made it easier to give (because that’s what mobile giving is about), especially for the next generation of churchgoers. Unfortunately, there is a huge segment of the church that has largely ignored the call for mobile giving.
But that’s not who I want to address.
Giving USA publishes The Annual Report on Philanthropy, a publication reporting on the sources and uses of charitable giving in the United States. In this years Giving USA Special Report on Giving to Religion, you can find some interesting bits of information on the current state of religious giving.
Once again, we find that “religiously affiliated people more likely to donate, whether to place of worship or other charitable organizations…” So while church attendance is decreasing, the rate of giving for those who attend church has not wavered.
What’s interesting, is what we find with Millennial giving.

If you know me, I’m notoriously harsh on Apple, mostly because I have had poor experiences and high expectations from them, expectations that were placed by Apple themselves. This marketing has led to some bitter fanboys.
