Dwell: A New Way to Listen to Scripture [Kickstarter]
On a recent discipleship course I was attending, there was a sentence in the material that struck me:
The Bible and prayer are two ways to hear from God.
It’s kind of an obvious thing, but the sort of stuff that we can not really apply in our lives. We know God speaks through the Bible, and we want to hear from God…but do we turn to his word?
Well, there are various reasons why we don’t but easy of access can be a big one. For some people, reading just isn’t the easiest thing. It could be because of eyesight of specific learning difficulties. However, it would be bad if we just wrote these people off as being unable to learn from scripture. Luckily there is a new Kickstarter project that might help. Even better, it can also boost your scriptural habits even if you enjoy reading the Bible.

Millennial Giving: Why Your Church Needs Mobile Giving
Giving USA publishes The Annual Report on Philanthropy, a publication reporting on the sources and uses of charitable giving in the United States. In this years Giving USA Special Report on Giving to Religion, you can find some interesting bits of information on the current state of religious giving.
Once again, we find that “religiously affiliated people more likely to donate, whether to place of worship or other charitable organizations…” So while church attendance is decreasing, the rate of giving for those who attend church has not wavered.
What’s interesting, is what we find with Millennial giving.
