I’ve been a fan of Todd Dominey for a long time and I remember using SlideShowPro for a billion-and-a-half projects when it first came out.
And watching him leave his full time job to pursue this project was very inspirational – I told myself that I’d do the same, eventually.
It was a good choice because the product matured and became even more awesome, especially with Director, which is their management system that powers their beautiful slideshow and gallery. It is killer.
If you haven’t picked this up now would be a good time since it’s only $39! It’s going to jump back up another $20 in a few days.
Have you used SlideShowPro? What are your thoughts?

I’ve looked at this before – and have actually been working on it some today trying to test it out with a photography WP site I’m working on. The problem I have with it is that it’s built on Flash, which as you know is not compatible with Apple products. May be only a minor concern now, but with the growing number of iPhone/iPad users out there, it’s a serious concern.
Do you know of other alternatives out there? It’s a slick product indeed, but they’ll definitely need to break their dependency on Flash before I’d seriously consider using them for my clients.

yeah, that can definiteliy be a concern… but… they’ve addressed that:

The mobile version looks pretty legit. I hadn’t looked at SSP for a while because of that – thanks for pointing it out.

Yeah, funny you mention it – saw that this afternoon. Will definitely check it out.
