I’m a texture-addict and this design is heroin to me. It’s quite gorgeous. My first instinct was “Oh God, they used Flash for something as simple as a rotating gallery” but then I turned Flash off and saw they degraded gracefully to a javascript version. +1

I’ve seen a lot of new websites being pumped out using that sort of template. Don’t get me wrong, but it looks good & if they’ve got a great business, then the website just needs to be an extension of that.
But I’ve seen a lot of “cool” websites using the wood background & then using simple wordpress themes where there’s a large primary image & 3 or 4 sections of info below.
There site definitely looks clean & gets their message across quickly, I’m just not ready to call it remarkable.
It would be interesting to see a list of 10 really innovative websites.
(I do – however – really love the 8bit properties).

I was totally wrong. Their site is gorgeous. Though I would have opted against the wood background, I thing the rest of it is steller.
