Archives for September 2018
Andy Mineo’s EP, entitled, ‘The Sword’ just came out last Friday. I got up, got ready for the day, and then sat down to listen to it and write you guys a review.
This is his second EP this year and it follows his last one like the next chapter in a book. He will be releasing two more after this one and I already can’t wait to hear them. I love how he is releasing these because at least for me, the waiting and the suspense is just as fun as the actual release.
Hi, dudes and dudettes!
This week we’ve got humans matching their dogs, and we learn about Church communication from a Pirate Queen– and we have some Tweets about shampoo and body wash bottles, and something about building a catapult out of WWJD bracelets and Frank Peretti books. Plus a bunch of other stuff I thought you dudes and dudettes might like.
I feel like it’s been long enough to share this. I actually discovered this just a day after I watched The Last Jedi. (Spoiler: The Last Jedi is not my favorite movie. I was somewhat disappointed.)
Someone decided to show their love of Star Wars through Lego by completely recreating the best scene of The Last Jedi, entirely out of Lego through stop-motion recording. It’s completely brilliant.
Here is a description of the YouTube video:
This is a LEGO recreation of (Spoilers) the death of Supreme Leader Snoke and Rey and Kylo Ren team up! This video was made with a lot of love and care
Documenting is a way of keeping a record for not only for our own benefit but for those also affected by what we do. It is how we make sure that others aren’t incapacitated in our absence. And, in some ways also helpful in training others. We’ve explored these and other reasons in earlier posts. And, in a post preceding (Best Documenting Practices) this one in the Document It series, we explored some best practices. This series would be incomplete without looking at how to document.
Around September every year, I look forward to an “Apple Special Event“. At this event, we witness some of the best product unveiling theatrics anywhere. Adjectives like awesome, unmatched, best, most advanced etc. pepper presenters’ speeches. I watch the event because I love Apple products and what to see what they’ve done. And, yes, see what I could look forward to using, next. I’ve used and prefer Apple devices to most. I’ve done this meager review of the TouchBar and this one on the iPhone SE. I haven’t written anything about products at launch as some do. Only what I’ve used / use. This year, besides devices, there were two things from Apple’s event that struck me.
