Video games causing violence is a myth.
I know that, and maybe you already know that too, but do you know how that myth got started?
In the video below, Adam ruins this myth not only by taking us back to where it got started and the reasons behind it, but explaining why it’s still going around.
The myth is really just an excuse, a cop-out really, for the underlying reasons of violence, because just like the video said:
The fact is, it’s just easier to blame video games than to tackle societal problems that actually impact rates of violence. Things like educational and employment disparities, stigma against seeking mental health treatment and, especially in case of shootings, access to guns.
