There is no real comparison to attack here…
Different font, different weight, no outer ring, different logotype.
It’s just a W inside a circle…

The only that could make this worse would be if their site was run off of WordPress!

It is a very different font. From Waterfield’s website, their company has been around for 80 years, and their website has been around since 1997. I don’t know how old their current logo is, but it is probably older than WordPress. I think Waterfield’s logo looks a lot more like Wikipedia’s logo than WordPress’s, but Waterfield has been around longer than Wikipedia also.
When your logo is just a letter, there are going to be lots of other logos similar to yours. If you want to be more unique, stay away from single letters.
