The WordPress ecosystem is lively and the variety of available plugins is one of the biggest benefits of the platform, but many of the plugins that are available – especially those that are poorly architected – can severaly impact the performance of the project.
One of the luxuries of compiled code (and some interpreted languages, really) is the power of the debugger, but when it comes to some web-based platforms you may be limited in options.
But when it comes to WordPress, that’s not necessary the case.
WordPress Debug Queries attempts to make it much easier to identify the pain points felt when working with the platform.
Specifically, Debug Queries is a plugin for WordPress that provides administrators a glance at all the queries running within the context of the project in order to help diagnose bottlenecks.
For more information, check out the plugin homepage or the project’s site (though you may need to run it through Google Translate :)).
