I wrote a post on 20 Reasons Why You Should Blog and I wanted to make sure that the people reading via RSS had an opportunity to check out that post.
In addition, since this community is much larger than the one over on TentBlogger I wanted to open the channels here and see why people are blogging.
Very curious to see why people are taking the time to sit down and write daily!
Let’s hear it in the comments, and if you’re not subscribed to TentBlogger then you should be! There’s another recent post on 10 Blogging Personas that you’re probably going to want to check out too.

1) to work through ideas of all the books I am reading
2) discipline: I am not very disciplined and this is one way to force discipline in my life
3) spiritual growth: probably ranked higher than it should but I want to hold myself accountable for the things I am reading
4) ego: probably ranked too low
5) way to discuss the ideas in my head without wearing my wife out

To connect, share, and document my journey

Greg says
Several reasons:
1. To engage in discussion and the exchange of ideas. I don’t know it all, don’t have time to find it on my own and enjoy learning from others.
2. To share where I am. Putting thoughts into words forces me to process the ideas more deeply.
3. To hopefully share something that will impact somebody’s life
4. To work with others in making a difference in our communities and around the world (most recent post is about that too).

loving #3.
Josh says
1. To document where I’m at in life for my mom read through her computer (she’s blind…but has software that reads text to her)
2. To change the world and help the poor.
3. To market and promote (although this was a surprise purpose)
It’s funny to me how the marketing/promoting came somewhat unexpectedly, but is now going to change the world and help the poor. Maybe not millions, but at least it’s putting rubber to the road. đŸ™‚

I meant “for my mom *to* read”….bad grammar, Josh. Bad.

Blogging for me has been a way to release all these pent up things that I’m learning. I used to blog here and there, mostly theoretical stuff. Now that I have some life experience, I have so much to write about that I don’t always have time to get it all out!
