Now that I’m spending more time blogging than ever before with my full time roll as a professional blogger, I’m looking for apps that’ll enable me to be as productive as possible with the community, especially as it relates to engagement.
And comments are where it’s at.
So, I found a management app that helps moderate multiple WordPress blogs at the same time! Check it out:
Dis.cuss.it is an Adobe Air app that does just that.
As you can see from the screenshot I’ve already booted up a lot of our blogs and was cycling through the comments. It was super easy to setup and get started:
You can reply to each comment and view threading for posts.
The only grievance I have is that it starts getting super-slow the moment you add a lot of blogs. I’m not sure if this has to do with my onboard memory running out or the app itself.
Otherwise it’s a great start. Not sure that I’ll use it long-term, but I’ll give it a good go.

I’d love to see this capability built into HootSuite (it does allow for WordPress.com but not WordPress.org) or TweetDeck. Regardless, I am going to check this out!

I just tried this. It doesn’t appear to work with IntenseDebate. My hunch is that it is posting my replies in WordPress’s native comment system. They might eventually sync to IntenseDebate; I don’t know.
