I’m traveling today and I’ve been pretty gun-shy when it comes to signing up for mobile hotspots. Not interested in contracts, shady connections, and not getting enough bang for my buck, especially with enou
But, now that I’m a full time blogger I have enough need to drop the green when I absolutely have to, so today I tried out Boingo and their service:
It cost me $6.95 for a 24-hour pass for Boingo while I’m here at the airport. I’m only going to spend about 50 minutes total though so I’m feeling a bit guilty.
They do have a desktop app that helps you connect automatically which I’m trying as well:
It sits in my tray up top.
So far, it’s working, which I’m thankful for.
What have you used? Is there one that you’re a serious fan of?

Haven’t used any myself. The closest I’ve come is carrying a Verizon 3G card. I’ve heard lots of good things about Boingo, plenty of their hotspots up here in the Pacific NW.
