The desire to find hidden treasure–it’s what makes kids want to search through their grandparents’ attic and what made Nic Cage’s National Treasure franchise watchable.

It’s what makes video game Easter eggs so captivating, and it’s something that Google understands pretty well. In fact, in many ways, I think Google understands the human need for play better than most companies, at least those who aren’t actually in the field of game design.

Now, I don’t want to start a fight here, so I’ll just give you this as proof and assume that you now agree with me. (That’s how the internet works, right?) Joking aside, for you childlike approval, I submit to you, dear reader, this lovely infographic from the folks over at EuroOffice. Are You an Apple or Android Church?

Apple held a big party a few weeks ago, and the internet exploded with blind joy, bitter mocking, and multiplied levels of…meh.

I think I loved the mocking the best, even as a confirmed Apple enthusiast. Funny is fun, right? But beyond all of the fun, there might be something of value here. At the very least, Sean Leacy (@GeekAthair) and I engaged in a civil discussion of the pros and cons to both sides for over fifteen minutes.

So, let’s dig in and figure out why your church should be like Apple.

10 Signs that You’re a Fanboy

We’ve just had the latest Apple announcement and as always there has been a mixed reaction. It’s basically come down to those who buy Apple products thinking they’re the most amazing thing ever (fanboy much?) and those who don’t.

Whether one group is more right than the other is irrelevant for today. Instead I want to look at some telltale clues if you or a loved one in your life is a fanboy or fangirl.

Adjusting to Android : Rejecting iPhone Idolatry

A good while ago, I wrote about how the last iPhone I would use is the iPhone 6. That turned out to be sooner than I thought when one faithful Sunday afternoon, after church, I dropped my iPhone.

While outside talking to my mother on the church parking lot, I accidentally dropped my iPhone 6 on the concrete. The cheap little iPhone 6 case was no match for the abrasive impact as my iPhone 6 screen shattered.

I thought that the screen was the only thing damaged, but I would later find out that the phone’s basic functions are also messed up too.
