Let’s be honest.
When it comes to Christian media for our kids, most of it is lame.
Recently our family stumbled onto JellyTelly. Presented by Focus on the Family, I wasn’t sure if it would be good or not. Some of their content has been top class, while other stuff has come off flat. Seeing that it was created by Phil Vischer, I figured if the creator of VeggieTales was involved, it might be worth a look.
It was.
The first program we watched was “Buck Denver and Friends”. It was a 15-minute episode on Kindness. A mix of puppets and animation, my initial impression wasn’t favorable.
I mean, come on! Puppets! Where’s Psalty?
My kids loved it.
My 2 and 4 year old glued themselves to it for about an hour. It took some adult supervision, since I had to navigate to a new video every 15-minutes. Honestly, it was a little addicting. My preteens are quoting lines from it, too.
Do you and your kids a favor and check out JellyTelly. You’ll thank me later.
