Get your church website ready for Easter!
Here’s a list of things to check on your church website before Easter:
- First Time Visiting Section
How do people dress at your church? Keep Easter in mind! - Where To Park
Clarify the parking situation. On Easter some churches have off-site parking, whatever it is, let them know about it. Provide maps and directions. - What we do when it isn’t Easter
Be sure to have a this section on your website. Invite people back for your regular service and ministries and let them know your regular events and times. - Easter FAQ
Answer the special questions Easter brings up. Have questions and answers about life after death, the resurrection, many of the questions about Jesus, why he had to go to the cross and what his death accomplished. - Be Clear
In the midst of doing special things for Easter, don’t forget to be incredibly clear about your schedule of events for Easter. Explain them, keeping in mind that many of the traditions that are treasured activities many mean nothing to a seeker. Be sure your guests know who the events are for, e.g. some events for children may have age limitations. - Updated and complete bios of your staff.
People want to know who’s who. - Be sure ALL ministries have descriptions and updated schedules.
Without this very basic information, your church will not be taken seriously by visitors or seekers. - Be sure to have a clear explanation of the Christian faith.
You don’t want your visitors to leave before the service is over.
These are some excellent things to keep in mind!
Please, share any tips you have!
