FYI: This is a rant.
Essentially I can’t believe how stupid I was by settling for less and just using the inbuilt “Peep” app on my Android phone for Twitter.
Peep is useless!
My life has been so much happier these past 24 hours since installing the Twitter app made by Twitter!
If you are an Android user and you still use Peep for Twitter. STOP. It will change your life.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for awesome Android Twitter apps?
Dewaine says
Or…install TweetDeck for Android.
wvpv says
nice.
I’ve never actually heard of peep. is that a verizon thing? it didn’t come pre-installed on my t-mobile android phone.
i don’t use the twitter app b/c it doesn’t post to facebook. I’m not a big fan of the selective twitter facebook app for integrating the two. that’s why i use hootsuite.
social stream notifications are too much for me — regardless of the app. i’ll give hootsuite my attention when I can instead of it screaming at me all the time.
you’re an animal. i think i might go crazy if I had 5 twitter accounts.

I’ve been known to have more…but luckily I’ve been trimming things down recently!

I use the official client as well, i find that the official clients always seem to work better and get new features faster.
James Brooks says
Absolutely. I have been using it for a few days now and it’s definitely standing the test of time!
Tim Graves says
What the heck is Peep? Definitely not a Verizon thing. Maybe particular to the particular manufacturer?
I used Tweetdeck, but I’ve ended up just using the Twitter app for simplicity’s sake. I still use Tweetdeck in Chrome as the Twitter UI is FAIL, but they got it right on the Android.
James Brooks says
Maybe peep is a HTC thing?
Tre Lawrence says
Yep, Peep is an HTC Sense client.
I use a combination: LauncherPro Friend’s widget linked to Seesmic. I like to have FB and both Twitter accounts I manage in one feed when possible.
As noted, Tweetdeck is good… a bit too clunky for me.
