As you can see an artist has created these seriously tiny creations as street art. You can see the context of how small they really are as you take a step back:

There are a lot of creative offices out there and you see new images nearly every day; it’s ultimately going to make the effort to craft a new office space for my team a lot harder!
But it’s still a fun process. Here are 5 examples from very famous people that might inspire you:

As I do research in terms of a potential office space for our growing business here at 8BIT I’m finding more and more that people simply do not get it when it comes to good space design, especially as it relates to the culture and type of business that we’re in.
For example, I want to create a space that maximizes my team’s strengths in every possible manner in terms of the best practices found in the marketplace and startups and also pays attention to the spiritual elements of our business since it’s our passion to resource the Church.
One article that I keep coming back to to help formulate my vision for it is from Mel McGowan. He says:
It’s the time of year when Pumpkin Spice Lattes are making huge sales at Starbucks, scarecrows are starting to return to their rightful places (the closet), and churches are putting on fall festivals all around the nation.
The following one really caught my attention though, something that hasn’t ever been done before, to my knowledge. Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC recently held a “Flash Fall Festival” and here is what went down:
We decided to take the fall festival/carnival to the people, instead of having them come to us. Here’s the kicker – we did it all in 1 hour. So, we set up a stage, had fire-breathers, jugglers, women on stilts, and most importantly, sought to share the love of Christ with a lower-income area of Charlotte.
We gave away lots of food, shared conversation over hotdogs and cotton candy, and sent people home with groceries in hand. The band even played 1 song. Then we were gone, packed and completely cleaned up….in an hour. Good times.

If you’ve ever met Mel McGowan in person then you can agree with me: He’s intensely smart (in an almost scary way) but insanely humble.
I was able to catch up with him briefly over Catalyst and got a few copies of his new book Design Like God Gives a Damn.
We’re giving away 2, all you have to do is comment below with something as witty as his title and you’ll be entered in to win.
