If you’ve ever met Mel McGowan in person then you can agree with me: He’s intensely smart (in an almost scary way) but insanely humble.
I was able to catch up with him briefly over Catalyst and got a few copies of his new book Design Like God Gives a Damn.
We’re giving away 2, all you have to do is comment below with something as witty as his title and you’ll be entered in to win.
Sam says
Some people say more with less. Others say less with more. Which do you want to be?
Santos Samayoa says
Design like you give a damn!
Matt says
Step back. Be blessed. Do it again.
Duncan Robinson says
Um…..Cowabunga dude, I totally want to be design relevant and take my ability all the way up to tell.
Help me become culturally hip and do some whip-gnarly design.
Doves and Rainbows and a Cross are still in right?
Heather Murphy says
Witty? Nah. I’m not. I have sat here for almost 30 minutes trying to be though. I probably could have earned enough money for the book myself with a lemonade stand; however, hot chocolate may be more suitable with today’s weather… I’d still like a copy — with or without the wittiness.
Mike says
I’d like a damn book, please.
Michele M says
Is that title a new translation of Col 3:23? Haha pick me!
Joshua Withers says
I need that book like a Chilean miner needs sunglasses …. and like John Saddington needs Starbucks!
Ben Kolarcik says
You are right.. Mel is super talented and smart and more importantly, humble. Excited to spread the word about his new book to the masses!
Ben Kolarcik says
You are right! Mel is super talented and super smart, but above all -most gracious and humble! Our team at Discovery Church has had the privilege of working with him and his team. I’m excited to spread the word about his new book!
Rob Nutting says
Dam design, like God gives a…
Brett Barner says
Can’t think of anything creative to say; which is probably my best reason to enter.
Jody says
If I win the book I will take it to Hoover Dam when I take the dam tour and take all the dam pictures I want. I may even buy me some damn bait and go fishing.
If you get the movie reference I will send you a picture of a damn dam.
Adam lehman says
I want that book!
Matt says
Since I’ve got no chance at witty, I figure false humility is my best shot.
Eric says
It’s so hot I’m sweating like Paris Hilton in a spelling bee.
Scott Nicks says
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around, does God give a damn?
The place where creatives, philosophers and God butt heads…guess who wins?
ooo, ooo, pick me! pick me!!
Kevin says
Technically speaking, if anyone can give a damn, God is that person.

ACTUALLY – I do – It looks like a SWEET book!
steve says
Does anyone ever win these ‘darn’ giveaways? I hope so, cause frankly my dear… I do give a damn.
David Silvernail, Jr. says
Perhaps the follow up will be “What does your design say about God?”
Dan Williams says
These special giveaways jolt my inner gambler.
Jared Hardwick says
Design like it’s 1999… I mean Y2K… I mean… wait what year is it now?
kylereed says
my title would probably include some more cuss words so I will not go more creative on you here.
Maybe design like you stole it
Shawn says
What if it really is all about the hokey pokey?
Shawn says
Design hydroelectric power like you’re giving a dam…?
BenJPickett says
The best form of flattery is plagiarism and that title is so stolen for my next men’s ministry topic.
Jason McCranie says
Give a damn about God’s designs.
Byron says
God & Damn in the same sentence. Sounds like a book written by Eminem.
(I love Deisgn Like You Give a Damn, and I have a desire to see these things implemented for the Kingdom of God. Would love to read what you have to say about this!)
