Let’s face it, the Christian movie industry is way behind. The stories tend to be good, but the acting is always sub par. Add in the corny editing, and it makes you wonder why we even watch this stuff. It’s not for a lack of trying, there just happens to be a lack of funding. Tends to be hard to make a good movie when you don’t have a ton of money.
What if it was different? What if the Christian genre had all the wealth of Hollywood behind it?
What would that look like?
Will the Christian movie industry ever make it to the big time?

Same here. I love that it makes it look like Jesus was up for a walk 3 days later, like no big deal.

Word. Jesus was hardcore like that.

I don’t the problem is 100% funding, a big problem is the story telling as well christian movies are too clean and make sin not look as attractive as it really is in real life. Basically christian movies are too cheesy in their story.
That said i did like fireproof but that is about the only christian movie that i can think of that was good.
Eric Dye says
I agree. Fireproof surprised me, too.

I liked Fireproof but at its core (if you are open to admit it) it was another “preaching to the choir” movie. It felt like a commercial to me. I am aspiring to produce a film that will take some risks, appeal to mass audience without being too preachy, but still get God’s message out there AND still be entertaining. Just did my first trailer and now looking for that hard-to-find funding to get the movie done. It’s very difficult. Wondering if I should just proceed forward and walk by faith…

I am looking for posters like these for our church theater room. How can I buy some?
