This might just appeal to the globetrotter that resides within all of us…
No more lost luggage… not if this Indiegogo project has anything to do with it. Bluesmart is looking to introduce connected luggage to folks looking for a way to track and weigh their traveling gear. Beyond that, it charges electronics, gives proximity reports and can even be locked via smartphone.
If you’re like me, and shamelessly think this is exceptionally cool, you can assured in the fact that you’re not that weird. With less than a day to go, the project has raised more than $1 Million against a relatively modest goal of $50,000.
Their will be apps for iOS and Android, and, per the project page, eventually there will be smartwatch compatibility too. If everything goes right, Bluesmart should be shipping out orders in July 2015.
It seems like “connected” is becoming less of a buzz term and more of a necessary description for a world that increasingly appreciates devices and gadgets that work together. Toothbrushes. Home appliances. Electronics. Even clothing.
Fun stuff, and I can’t wait to see this unfold. Maybe this connected luggage set will come to market in time for the ChurchM.ag Convention that Jeremy Smith is is asking for.
