It’s that time again.
This is our weekly Q and A session with the 8BIT Team. You can ask us anything and one of us will hook you up with an answer in the coming week.
Simple, right? Oh, and did we answer your question from last week? Let us know.
The #1 Resource for Church Technology Creativity & New Thinking
Martin Hathaway says
What, if even, experiences have you had helping people convince their churches to adopt the concepts, products and strategies you put forward in your blog posts?
Martin Hathaway says
Excuse the typo… any, not even.
John Saddington says
i actually don’t do any of that.
you see, our community here are our evangelists for us. they’re the one’s with relational capital and they’re typically the ones telling others and their churches about us.
we might convince people directly, but from the stories that we hear it’s typically something like this (from a senior/exec pastor/key decision maker):
—
Dear ChurchCrunch,
A layperson/staff person sent me your posts and told me how helpful they were. We talked about it and we tried it and it worked! Thanks so much!
Sincerely,
Pastor/Decision Maker.

our goal isn’t to necessarily convince people but to provide the resources for key people to start conversations with others!

I’m looking to use a regional search in a wordpress site (ie- enter you zip code and select radius- 10, 20, 50, 100, 250, 500 miles). Where should I start? Is there a plugin or something like that?
John Saddington says
i’m not sure. i’ll have to take a look!
Stephen Bateman says
Ok so is it possible to include a plugin in the core theme file, and put a checkbox on the theme options that says: “activate feature…”
Is that ethical? I’m not trying to jack other people’s stuff…
