Let me start off by saying that I LOVE writing for Churchm.ag.
It is not about the money that they give per post, though they are definitely the best that I have seen when it comes to ministry and technology paid guest posts! It is not even about the freedom that they let you write whatever it is that you are passionate about.
The aspect that makes Churchm.ag the best when it comes to contributing to a website is the ChurchMag Authors Network (#CAN) that you the readers really never see!
What is a #CAN member?
The difference between contributors and #CAN members is that there is a different standard expected. Contributors can be anyone that writes a great article and has an active PayPal account. To be in the #CAN group, you not only need to meet the level of a contributor, but need to have an established record on Churchm.ag as well as submit at least four posts a month. While there are only a couple of rules to get in, you must continue to maintain them to stay in.
What are the benefits?
While any multi-contributor website can pay you for your posts and help you get your own name out there, Churchm.ag has gone far and beyond this expectations with the #CAN. The conversations of technology and Church are amazing. Each member offers something unique to the table to encourage a deeper understanding of how our gifts within our respective fields can build up the body of Christ.
Jay Caruso‘s expertise at Photography gives a new look at how we can use visual presentations better in ministry.
Phil Schneider‘s application of in-house Church tech brings the conversation to a whole new practical level.
And then there is James Cooper, who always has a great story for us! Just look at that bright smile!

We have had some pretty intense and great debates or Q&A’s that will only stay within the circle of people and I love the community that this has fostered.
The conversations can be very deep and amazing, but at the same time, there is a strong community there that lends itself to a lot of fun over Google+ Hangouts and kidding around. After just nine months with them (really, it’s been that long already?), I feel like I have known them all my life. I have dumped my annoyances and struggles on them as well as laughed endlessly at the jokes that fly around.
These people are amazing!
How Can You Join?
Churchm.ag is actually looking to double the number of contributors and members of #CAN and we would love for you to join the community. Check out the Posting Guidelines to know see what is expected of your articles, prepare some of your current work that is live right now, and look to see if you can give a few hours of your month to regularly posting on Churchm.ag. This is most definitely a worthy way to spend a few hours of your time and you will not regret it!
What experience and gifts do you have to offer the Church that you could bring to this website and make a difference?
Are you ready?

Writing for ChurchMag is pretty great! I really enjoy it.
I see if I can try to find the time to write more often, I’ll just have to look really hard!
