It’s clear that as the mobile market has grown, so has the need for easy-to-use frameworks targeting said platform.
We’ve talked a little but about jQuery’s mobile application framework along with Sencha Touch, but it looks like 37signals is currently developing a framework of their own.
In case you haven’t checked out the entire video, the gist of it is:
- The framework follows the MVC design pattern and is designed specifically for mobile applications
- JavaScript comprises most of the code with the network used for data transmittion
- The applications built on the framework will be offline enabled
Sounds neat.
Personally, I’m extremely interested. I’m a fan of Ruby on Rails and would love to see the 37signals perspective on JavaScript-based framework.
