Email truly has become a monster. It’s threatening our focus, our ability to get things done, and at points, even our sanity. So how do we slay this monster?
Like any monster really, with a hard, consistent attack.
You know what happens in games, right? When you merely wound a monster, it will withdraw to regain strength—and then come back twice as strong. You have to obliterate it in such a way that it’s gone forever. [Read more…] about The RPG Productivity Player’s Guide: How to Slay the Email Monster [Series]

Mobile is quickly becoming the norm instead of the exception which means smaller screens and different ways of interacting with people as well as data caps and bandwidth limitations. So social media managers need to understand that your 1 hour of effort into a video may not get noticed the first time you post about it and you need to reiterate these videos. Also, images are a magical thing on social media as people love to view them on their phones and will randomly pull them up to show others. But lots of text or high-res photos can lose their sparkle on a mobile device.
So if you are looking for some tips to be a better social media manager with your users, think mobile first. Here are some of the best tips from the infographic below:

Most churches have been ordering church curriculum for Sunday school and Bible studies the same way for decades. And while so much of the world has sequed to mobile devices to consume all their content, the church world has been left behind doing things the same way as before.

Over time fans of Christian music have fallen in love with Christy Nockels — from her voice at the many conferences where she leads worship, her albums, to her story of strength. I happen to be one of those people that the worship leader has wowed. Her 2012 album “Into The Glorious” was one of the most impressive records at the time, and the soulfulness of the record made me become a fan.
Even though the singer has performed in countless conferences, concerts and whatnot she never dropped a solo live project. Her previous materials were studio records and even though the Passion projects usually features her live performances, it usually leaves a lot of fans wanting more.

My son is 7, so I’ve watched my fair share of kids’ movies and animated series. And I’ve thought several times that there’s some decent advice in some of them.
Take Finding Nemo. If you can’t learn some solid life lessons from that one, you did not pay attention. Aside from Dory’s epic ‘Just keep swimming’, there’s my favorite (also from Dory):
“Well, you can’t never let anything happen to him. Then nothing would ever happen to him. Not much fun for little Harpo.”
But even the much-loved-as-hated blockbuster Frozen had some spot on life advice. How about ‘Some people are worth melting for.’ So true Olaf, so true. Or the forever-stuck-in-your-head-yet-deep-truth of ‘Let it go’. I’ve seldom heard better advice. Now if only people would listen.
Anyways, in the infographic below, you’ll find even more heartfelt life advice from famous characters from kids’ movies and series. May we all learn a thing or two.
Or three.
