I was blogging for two months I think when I spotted my first case of plagiarism. Someone else had copied one of my posts and pasted it onto his own website, without any link or reference to me.
Man, I was furious and I immediately contacted him and asked him to take the post down. He did in the end, after a bunch of angry emails and tweets from me, but it cost me a lot of time and energy. How naive I was … It wouldn’t be my last experience with content theft and I’ve learned to be a little less upset about it.
Content theft is becoming a bigger and bigger problem on the Internet. The percentage of plagiarized content on the Internet has risen from 25% in 2009 to 44% in 2011. That means that almost half of the web’s content is copy-pasted from somewhere else.

Have you ever heard of the legends of the mad scientists? We have seen them through the years as they would make crazy experiments that would lead to dangerous results. Dr. Frankenstein or Dr. Doom are two great fictitious mad scientists that had devastating effects. I feel like the video below has a real life future mad scientist.
Roy Lowry, an associate professor at Plymouth University, decided to take the explosive expanding properties of liquid nitrogen, put it in a contained bottle, and add flare with some ping pong balls. The result? Something dangerous and spectacular.
Enjoy!

This Saturday was full of fun and relaxation and I honestly just did not want to blog at all. Started off the morning with a freezing and awesome game at the Air Force vs. Navy game. After four quarters and one overtime, we were properly turned into ice cycles. The proper thing to do was go home and make a hot chocolate, get under some warm covers, and watch the latest episode of Fringe on Hulu Plus. Four hours later I recognized I had fallen asleep and truly was rested.
And yet, never once did I think I had to blog. Now, I just want to share some ideas of why you do not have to feel the need either.

Pretty slick, right?
