This Saturday was full of fun and relaxation and I honestly just did not want to blog at all. Started off the morning with a freezing and awesome game at the Air Force vs. Navy game. After four quarters and one overtime, we were properly turned into ice cycles. The proper thing to do was go home and make a hot chocolate, get under some warm covers, and watch the latest episode of Fringe on Hulu Plus. Four hours later I recognized I had fallen asleep and truly was rested.
And yet, never once did I think I had to blog. Now, I just want to share some ideas of why you do not have to feel the need either.
- Go Against The Grain Many bloggers will tell you that to be successful at blogging, you have to do it everyday and have something scheduled every 24 hours. That depends on your understanding of success, but unless this is part of your livelihood, this may be too much on your plate.
- Do Not Miss Out On Life Life is so fast, if you miss it you will regret it. There is more to life than just your digital life and you need to get out into the sunshine and interact with people face to face.
- You Can Blog Yesterday I’ve been living by that stance for a while, “Why blog today when you can blog yesterday?” This motto promotes an understanding of using time wisely, scheduling out posts, and being as intentional as possible with the blogging experience.
- Do Not Sacrifice Quality For Want You want to post everyday, but the need might be with family, school, or work. Put your priorities in place and plan out your week to accomplish just that.
What do you do when you do not want to blog.
