For those of us who work with teenagers, either as youth workers, teachers, or parents, we know that texting while driving is a big deal. Unfortunately, many teens either believe that it will never happen to them (they are untouchable) or think that it is all blown out of proportion.
Coming from someone who has worked with two families in the last two years where the student was distracted while driving and either the teen or the other driver was killed, it is a HUGE deal. Nothing could be more disastrous. No one wants to see a student’s life come to a sudden stop like that.
Yesterday, ChurchMag Authors Network member Phil Schneider posted a great article about “wasted tech”. It’s found everywhere – in our homes, with our families, and in our churches. We are looking at specific tools you should invest in to maximize your usage of Facebook. Of course one of the biggest things that we want to do is get as many people to our page and interacting with it. Short of buying advertisements, the best way that I have found to increase the number of likes, impressions, reach, and comments/shares is by giving away free stuff. We have previously written on how to do this correct, as Facebook has guidelines and rules to giveaway stuff without permanently getting kicked off the social network.

Over the past few years, a team at Microsoft has been building and enhancing ADO.NET Entity Framework, which was first introduced in version 3.5 of .NET. The Entity Framework allows you to develop applications that utilize a model designed to sit between the actual data storage schema and the user interface within an ASP.NET application.
While it might seem this adds another tier to web applications, the fact is the Entity Framework model acts as a substitute for what would be the logic tier.
You have the choice to either generate an empty model or through an existing database. Consider the example below that demonstrates the model generation process from a BibleStore database.
