One way to create some social media buzz, is to do something in real life.
That’s exactly what The Limited Edition Collectible Toys did:
To promote the brand and attract new customers, we scattered around the store living statues that mimicked the classic toy soldiers. The action attracted the attention of pedestrians, who photographed, recorded and posted on social networking.

By throwing this neon green ball in the air, a little bit of magic happens.
Our camera uses 36 fixed-focus 2 megapixel mobile phone camera modules. The camera modules are mounted in a robust, 3D-printed, ball-shaped enclosure that is padded with foam and handles just like a ball. Our camera contains an accelerometer which we use to measure launch acceleration. Integration lets us predict rise time to the highest point, where we trigger the exposure. After catching the ball camera, pictures are downloaded in seconds using USB and automatically shown in our spherical panoramic viewer. This lets users interactively explore a full representation of the captured environment.
Okay, okay, not magic — digital magic 😉

I’m not to bedazzled with the name, but it looks very … well … uh … Googlie?
Unlike Apple’s dedicated stores, the Google Chrome Zone isn’t a stand alone store, but built in a section within the store. What is like Apple, is the fact Google is modeling it after them. If you remember, Apple started the same way.
