Earlier this year, Mike Foster and Jud Wilhite created the People of the Second Chance community, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a part of. In addition, Mike Foster is releasing a new book titled Gracenomics at Catalyst and I was able to review it early.

John Resig, author of jQuery, is an excellent resource when it comes to improving up your JavaScript skill set.
Back in May, John gave a talk about using advanced JavaScript within your web applications and I thought the talk was really good. Some of what he covers is in the context of jQuery, though other points are library agnostic.
