Blogger has been neglected for a long time. In fact, I wondered if they had just left on the side of the road to die.
Blogger promises that 2011 will be another exciting year (although I can’t recall anything “exciting” from Blogger, last year), and it’s looking like it’s going to be huge for those on Blogger.
The Blogger interface lost it’s 2001 look and will be using the Google Web Toolkit for nifty Ajax-based UIs.

With the Google Profile getting a face lift, too, I’m curious to know if this has anything to do with Google’s recent leadership shift.

It seems to be cool to hate on blogger but I think it is a pretty good platform if you aren’t waning to self host.
The updating of the template system last year was definitely a good change. Hopefully one of these days they will get on with working on the comments system.

There are plenty of Blogger blogs that have a HUGE following. It’s unfortunate that Google was so slow to give Blogger blogs more advanced tools.
