Learning keyboard shortcuts will take you to a whole new level of computer use efficiency. You’ll save time moving your mouse to click on menus, and best of all, impress your friends. 😉
In all seriousness, though, I do love me some shortcuts, especially, while I’m writing. It keeps both hands on the keyboard where they belong.
What better place to learn some new shortcuts?
WordPress!
If you want to refer to the main WordPress shortcuts, simply click the little question mark icon on your Visual Editor.
If you don’t see it, use the shortcut or click the show ‘Kitchen Sink’:
Once the Rich Editor Help pulls up, select the Hotkeys tab:
Just look at them all!
Here are a few others you’ll want to know that are not shown here (Mac users use Command):
- H1 Header: CTRL+1
- H2 Header: CTRL+2
- H3 Header: CTRL+3
- H4 Header: CTRL+4
- H5 Header: CTRL+5
- H6 Header: CTRL+6
- Paragraph: CTRL+7
- Format: CTRL+8
- Address: CTRL+9
- Advanced Editor (Kitchen Sink): Alt+SHIFT+z
- Go to End: Ctrl+End
- Go to Top: Ctrl+Home
Awesome, right!?!
