A recent study by Xobni has revealed that 59% of US adults will check their email this T-giving and Christmas.
That doesn’t surprise me one bit.
I personally don’t feel like there’s anything spiritual about checking or not checking email during the holidays but I do feel there is an opportunity for you to invest in the people that matter the most and that you may get to see only one time a year. If that means turning it off, then go for it.
What about you? Will you be checking?

Matt Phelps says
The most I’ll be checking is email subjects. If it’s something important (ie: client’s site is down) I’ll read it, otherwise it can wait until the next day.
Matt Ralph says
If I don’t forget to bring my phone with me, I’ll probably check it here and there, but not as frequently as usual.
Jared Erickson says
what is email!?
Craig Allen says
I just decided to take a break starting tonight around dinnertime until Monday morning when it’s back to the grind. It will be tempting, but I have been starting to feel my eyes getting really strained recently. I’m going to try to stay away from TV too but it might be tough on Thursday!
Happy Thanksgiving!
