I originally titled this using the word, ‘writers;’ but the more I thought about it, ‘blogger’ seemed more appropriate. There is something very unique about ‘bloggers.’ Yes, some writers are bloggers, but some bloggers are not writers.
Blogging has its own unique form. You can use videos, images, and writing 300 words is par for the course.
I make this distinction because many people feel intimidated to inquire about guest posting for ChurchMag. They have their own blog and they may be passionate about technology and the Church, but contribute?
That sounds scary.
How do I know this?
I was that guy.
For three months I toyed with the idea of contributing to ChurchMag (the 8BIT Network, then), and now, I’m the Editor.
Funny, right?
Let me tell you what we’re really looking for when we say that “we’re always looking for bloggers:”
- Teachers, techies, Pastors and more!
- Experienced Church web, audio, video and IT volunteers.
- We don’t expect pros, but we expect you’ve been in the ‘trenches.’
To give you some even deeper insight, let me tell you a little bit about who is part of the ChurchMag Authors Network, aka: those that post regularly.
It includes a:
- Teacher
- Associate Pastor
- Youth Pastor
- Business Owner
- Digital Tentmaking Missionary
This doesn’t include those who post less frequently, but always deliver awesome content.
We love solutions, new tools and the theological wrestlings we have with technology. We love fun, entertainment and inspiration. So, take a real good look at the categories on ChurchMag, and see where you could contribute to our community. Everyone has something to offer.
Will you contribute?
