Are you a disgruntled Delicious user looking for an alternative?
Well, you might be in luck. Pinboard.in has been around for a while, but I’ve just discovered it, and it does everything I need it to, including pulling from my Delicious bookmark feed.
Check it out:
As you’ll notice, there is a small, one-time fee to sign up.
This fee is used for maintenance on the site, such as the addition of new hardware as needed, as well as updates and feature additions. For the price, you’ll get many features, which in my opinion, are better and easier to use than Delicious.
Bookmarking is made easy with a supplied bookmarklet you can place in your browser’s bookmarks bar. You can also use third party extensions or plugins for your browser.
I use Google Chrome, and this Pinboard extension. When you use either of those options to bookmark a page, the URL and title fields are auto-filled, but editable. You can also add a description and tags, as well as mark it private or read later.
Once you save a few bookmarks, you can view and sort them in a number of different ways. I try to tag anything I bookmark with at least three tags, so I’ll be able to search for and find any bookmark I need later.
While the site is very simple, it performs its function very well. Bookmarks are easily located and managed. If you’re looking for a solution to your Delicious woes, I would highly recommend Pinboard.in, you won’t regret the switch.

hmm, it just looks like Google Bookmarks.

That’s quite possible, I’ve never tried Google Bookmarks, just gave this a try based on some other recommendations I saw. I was using Delicious, so the switch was pretty easy.

Are that many people really disgruntled with delicious?
Chase Livingston says
I wasn’t particularly a fan of it, and when I found Pinboard, I loved its simple UI and approach to the niche it’s trying to fill.
