Many of ChurchMag’s readers are tech fluent and so a high percentage of our readers probably are administrators on at least one social network for a company, organization, or ministry. Unfortunately, the stereotype is that we are all pale skinned men who do not have any social awareness, play Dungeons and Dragons every week, get stuffed into lockers at the age of 30 (who is even around lockers anymore?) and generally represent the geekiest parts of the characters on the Big Bang Theory.
Here are three facts that help break the social media admin stereotypes:
- The largest age range of administrators on Facebook is 20-30 years old.
- Men are the dominate gender, but women are very present too.
- While men may manage more Facebook pages, women actually manage more Facebook fans overall by nearly two to one.
Do you fall in line with the stereotypes or do you break them?

Interesting that women have more fans than men.
