Facebook always remains a bit of a mystery for many people. They try very hard to increase their reach of Facebook, get people to Like and comment on their posts. But the question is: What works?
This infographic shows some tried recipes for Facebook engagement. Some are valid I think, like using shorter posts and posting images. But other suggestions always make me laugh a bit.
I’m sure there are good times and bad times to post something on Facebook. But the suggestion that for every single brand or page, Wednesday 3 p.m. EST is the absolute best time, is just funny to me. Doesn’t that depend on the type of people you’re trying to reach and their habits? What about time zones? Because 3 p.m. EST is 9 p.m. Central European time for instance and I can guarantee you, that’s a bad time to post something if you want people from Europe to respond!
Still, it’s always good to stay up to date with what supposedly works for Facebook engagement.
