I’ve often been curious as to what font is used for BIG company logos online. I’ve also been in situations where I needed to make my own Facebook and Twitter button, but didn’t have the exact font to do it.
Whichever the case may be for you, here is a list of fonts used for some of the biggest online sites:
- Facebook (Klavika)
- Twitter (Pico Alphabet)
- Digg (Pico y)
- Vimeo (Black Rose)
- Last.FM (National)
- Technorati (Neo Sans Medium)
- Flickr (Frutiger)
- YouTube (Alternate Gothic No. 2)
- Google (Catull BQ)
- Yahoo! (Yahoo Font)
- Hulu (Futura MDd BT)
- Linked-in (Myriad Pro Bold)
- Skype (Helvetica Rounded Bold)
- Ferrari (Ferro Rosso) (I know it’s not an online company, but come on! It’s Ferrari!)
- Time (Times New Roman)
Have fun!

Seriously?! No Helvetica? These companies clearly hired designers with no sense of textual aesthetics or they would have all used Helvetic. Or at the very least Helvetica Neue. Lazy designers.

Lazy, indeed.

Skype uses Helvetica Rounded Bold – so all is not lost!
