In my 10 years of doing web design work, there are numerous things that scare us. Some of it had to be the issues of multiple browsers that rendered websites differently, programming on different content management system platforms, and the issue of interpreting a client’s idea to actuality. I probably got it wrong more than I got it write, but what I did was more than good that I was shown lots of grace.
The infographic below shows several other phobias of people that work in the creative field. Some of the issues are relational, others monetary, and very little is actually within the design world.
Here are three key points from the infographic below.
- The infographic has identified six places they hate being put in: a computer process, steril environment, freelancing job that does not offer enough time, deciding when things are finished, seeing back packaging on stuff you did not design, and the opinions of the clients.
- Freelancing offers its own non-design issues like asking for extensions, setting the budget on so many unknowns, and asking for the payment even if a product is not done.
- If you are in the creative business, people will ask if you can use your “gifts” to help us out. Churches are just as bad as businesses.
