Does your ministry, organization, or blog have an email list?
I highly encourage it because many studies show it is the second most important communication tool for individuals, second only to texting. So let’s say you have done the hard work of getting people to sign up and look to engage with them. But you have missed an important step that can be immediate as well as powerful: your thank you for subscribing email.
Certainly do not waste your subscribers’ time, but make the most of this immediate opportunity.
Here are three great email welcome response tips for your next email campaign:
- The welcome email has huge potential. The infographic looks at revenue, but you can look at having people subscribe to your social media, visit your website, or sign up for different events with your organization. They have already made a HUGE commitment to give your email to them so they are already engaged. Push that point to show them what they can do with it.
- The right wording is necessary. What is listed below may not be best for your email list, but it is a starting point. Words like webinar actually hurt your open and click through rates where as news and video help.
- Personalized email addresses, no ALL CAPS test, and specifically thanking them in the email always are helpful and best practices.
Do you have a welcome email for those that subscribe that you’d be willing to share in the comments below?
