Yes!
They finally did it.
If you like to dig into Google Fonts for your web development, it can be a little bit of a pain when you’re also trying to do graphic design with the same fonts. Sure, you can download them as needed and install them, but all-in-all, it’s a pain and once you install a font it’s not easy to keep up with updates.
Until today!
Introducing, SkyFonts:
SkyFonts
From the Google Developers Blog:
“SkyFonts automatically updates the fonts installed on your system whenever they are updated on Google Fonts – for example, when new characters are added – ensuring you always have the latest fonts to work with. And with the fonts installed locally, browsing websites that use web fonts will be faster, since your browser won’t have to spend time fetching font data.”
Sweet!
Download for both Mac and Windows from fonts.com.
Using Google Fonts has never been easier!
Here’s How it Works
After installing the app, jump on the fonts.com website and “Browse Google Fonts”.
Find something you like?
Add it:
Once you’ve added it, you can see the SkyFonts app shows what you’ve added and gives you a slick interface to manage your Google Fonts:
If you’re already a fonts.com member, the SkyFonts app will give you the option of managing your fonts.com fonts as well.
Learn more, download the app and start keeping your Google Fonts synced!
(If you’d rather download the source files to edit the font data directly, you can always do so from the project at Google Code.)

Eric Dye says
Cool! I’ve used Fontsquirrell.com quite a bit, too.

just Dl’d the app and sent it off to a fellow website design. Now to see how this all comes together in future projects using ‘cool kid’ fonts and not system standard one 🙂
