WordPress + Flash you say?
Yup. SWFPress is a framework that gives you the ability to create flash-based Themes based on WordPress.
An interesting idea, that’s for sure.
All you have to do is integrate your XML Flash Theme into SwfPress, edit config.php and that’s about it.
Here are a few screenshots of the backend:

It looks like a neat idea, but unfortunately, I think it’s a little late. This would have been cool 2 or 3 years ago, but I think the time of flash-based sites has passed.

I disagree (just a little) with Ben.
I think Flash sites have their place, though certainly not as the end-all-be-all of the internet. This solution looks handy for the right project.
And I especially like the way they handled licensing. Free unless there is a payment gateway. Seems fair to me.

I’m siding with Ben on this one.
Flash is good in its own right (newgrounds.com, homstarrunner.com, etc.), but it’s just too inaccessible for the largest audiences. You have iNoun users that cannot view Flash (after all, it was never meant for touch interfaces), and you have users with disabilities that make navigating Flash sites cumbersome at best. For the rest of us, Flash is synonymous with annoying ads, which means battery drain, and processor loading, and installing witty plugins to disable Flash on sites by default. Almost anything done with Flash can be done with JavaScript or other scripting languages in my opinion.
