Fascinating information has revealed that the global amount of spam being sent has dramatically been on the decline.
Curious, right? One such theory is that the major Botnets have been “inactive” with one of the major ones, “Rustock,” was at its peak responsible for between 47% to 48% of all spam sent globally but in December was at .5%:
One security firm detected around 200 billion spam messages being sent each day in August, but just 50 billion in December.
While the reasons for the decline are not fully understood, spam watchers warn the lull may not last.
One thing is for sure: I’m not complaining.

I like that a lot.
Although, I have to say – I have not noticed it, not in my email or my blog

I bet Julian Assange did it 😉
But seriously, I wonder if there is some kind of “retooling” or ramping up or something.
