It’s hard as heck to “control” your brand, even if you’re a brick and mortar. It’s even more hard online.
I know, from my experience, that ministries and non-profits don’t spend nearly enough time managing their brand online. If you’re one of those organizations (or you work for one) make sure that this coming year you make it a priority, because sometimes what you want to be known for is not what you’re actually known for.
A much larger example, of course, is how the Church is viewed in online world: Not a happy camper.

One word: outreach.
Outreach is the only way I can see any church impacting the generally negative stereotype. This is especially true with online churches, since most people view any gathering online (aside from Facebook), to be something cult-like or terroristic.
