Sometimes adding small design elements to your site can make a significant difference in terms of functionality and effectiveness. It’s my personal design philosophy that the simpler and smaller the change is the better.
There are, of course, always exceptions to this rule but generally speaking you should challenge yourself to think “simple” with your design, especially with blogs.
I found a very simple script (just put it in the footer) that will add a small Twitter badge on the right or left of your site.
You can see a live example on Human3rror.com or right here on ChurchCrunch.com.
Sweet, right? Go customize and get your badge here!
Three cheers for simplicity.

in the footer!

Thanks John, that was the answer. One day I hope to grow up and be half as smart as you.

Any advice / logic to how many pixels from the top this thing should be placed?
stephenbateman says
make sure it's somewhere between 150 and 400 down from the top. a 13.3in screen has 800 vertical pixels. That's how I would think it. heh.
human3rror says
as much as you'd like. experiment!

tnx, I wondered how they did that.

Love the badge but it seems to be causing errors when someone using IE7 tries to access my blog at http://churchbytes.me … I've removed it for now, but would really like to use it. Any ideas? Thanks!
