What have you been working on this past week?
It’s time for a little bit of digital show and tell!
First, a quick re-cap of those who shared with us last week:
- joanna – Working on a potential book titled: “Saved, single and insane: Misadventures in the weird world of Christian singledom”
- Stephen Peterson – Finishing the installation of a new captive portal and firewall system for an open wireless network at his Church. He’s also in the process of building six computers for offices at Church! (He’s in High School peeps!)
- James Cooper – Did some work on his Christmas site (http://www.whychristmas.com) so it’s ready for Christmas 2011! He’s also getting it to be a fully responsive site and much more mobile friendly.
- Shane Sooter – Worked on some blog posts focused on creativity. “The Art and Craft of Pitching an Idea” and “Are Churches Speaking a Foreign Language.” They can be found on his blog: http://shanesooter.com
- Brian Notess – Was building a WordPress plugin that displays Photo Sets from zenfolio.com
- Raoul Snyman – Busy working on OpenLP, the open source worship presentation app – http://openlp.org/, another open source project management app called Project HQ – http://projecthq.org/, and a Twitter feed Paper.li page: Christians in Open Source Software – http://paper.li/f-1310974212
You can comment on these guys on last weeks page.
Now it’s time to share what you’ve been doing this week!
Simply drop-off your URL (if you have one), and description as necessary, and we will all come take a look.
If you visit someone’s piece of work, be sure to leave a comment for them.
It wouldn’t hurt to Tweet or share this post after you’ve submitted what you’ve been doing this week, too 😉
SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!

This week I’ve been writing about something I’ve found encouraging when I don’t know what to pray http://www.joannamuses.com/2011/08/when-you-dont-know-what-to-pray.html

My very first video blog…eek
The thought behind it is this: I’ve haven’t seen too many video inspiration wrap-ups of the week on design blogs like Abduzeedo or From Up North and I decided to try it out on the blog to see if it can become something cools.
Thoughts?

I’ve used Screenr for screen capture for e-learning before, but never thought of it in terms of video blogging. Cool application!

Thanks, Rebecca. It’s been fun letting others in on it! Hopefully, I’ll hit the target, and get this bad boy published.

I’ve been doing more on my christmas site in some spare time, I coded up a site that I put a design up of a couple of shares ago (http://mattchantdecorating.co.uk/ – still in dev, the photos all need changing – that’s not the guy on the about page!)
And very excitingly I had my first posts published on Churchmag (series on podcasting sermons)!
Eric Dye says

I’ve been making little tweaks here and there to my blog, I Heart the Church, from a subscription page, to using a few tentblogger plugins. Today I spent a considerable amount of time working on the RSS feed and getting it where I needed it to be. Nobody told me how much work these blogs are 🙂
Here’s a post I did that gave some shout out love to my favorite blogs… which church mag won a spot on.

I use Livebooks for my photography website. They finally introduced new sites where the images can be scaled based on a person’s monitor size so I am building up the images for that. Temp site is available to view:
http://www.carusophotography-scaler.com.temp.livebooks.com/
Only images so far are in ‘Portfolio 1.’
Justin Simmons says
Great pictures Jay. I like the thumbnail on/off option… valuable for sure!
Eric Dye says
That’s hawt.
Allan White says
Gotta check out livebooks. Spendy?
I just got back from Burundi & am working on the images. Photo set here: http://bit.ly/burundi-photos
