Have you ever wanted to do this to a project?
I have.
As we share our projects, don’t hesitate to share some of your failures, too!
Thankfully, Saturday Sunday Share didn’t fall flat on its face. It’s been a lot of fun and encouragement. Last week’s Saturday Sunday Share was a batch of awesomeness! So many of you shared and commented – it was exactly what I was hoping it would turn-into.
Here are some highlights from last week:
- joanna – Blogged about prayer.
- Marcus Williamson – Took a crack at video blogging – FTW!
- Sam Mahlstadt – Launched a Kickstarter campaign to publish his book!
- Mike – Launched phase one of an online worship community.
- James Cooper – Was busy coding and writing!
- Justin Simmons – Worked hard on his blog.
- Jay Caruso – Crushed on his photography portfolio website.
A bunch of awesome stuff was shared last week!
Now, let’s see what you’ve got this week.
Remember, simply drop-off your URL (if you have one), and description as necessary, and we will all come take a look.
When you visit someone’s piece of work, be sure to leave a comment for them.
If you’ve been working on something that’s a category on ChurchMag, SHARE IT!

Thanks for the mention 🙂
Here is my week two attempt at video blogg’n: http://marcuswilliamson.com/design-inspiration-week-2
James Cooper says
Great finds there Marcus. And bacon desert, doesn’t get much better than that 😉
Marcus Williamson says
Lol! Tru word 😉

Better than last week. I also like how you include the images in the post, too, and it’s not JUST a video post.
Keep it up!

Unfortunately I didn’t get to blogging any original material this week. Been a bit busy with other less fun but much more necessarily writing projects. My big project at the moment is my thesis (and potential academic journal article) on multiculturalism in Singapore. Still got lots to do on that!
I’ve also been working on writing up some policy and procedure documentation for the campus ministry I help lead. Hopefully giving our team leaders some written explanation as to how some of the administrative stuff like venue booking works and why we have to do things certain ways will make things run more smoothly for my successor when I hand over in 6 weeks. Can’t believe I’ve almost completed my one year committee term.

Always a pain when life gets in the road of blogging 🙂

I know you’ll get back to it, Joanna!

Finished a landing tab for our youth page. This is my first “proper” bit of web design i.e. not copy and pasted code. All of the work done in Notepad++ and GIMP.
I’ve also been planning sound and light for our kids’ summer club this week. Prayers for the club are appreciated – particularly that we get enough kids turning up to make it work 🙂
James Cooper says
Welcome to the world of web design! Will be praying. What app on FB did you use to make the tab? With FB keep changing the rules, it’s nice to know what’s working well at the moment!
Jonathan Mould says
Thanks, I used Involver html for pages.
Marcus Williamson says
Look’n good Jonathan
Eric Dye says
Slam-dunk, great work!
Justin Simmons says
Nice work man. I like it. How’d the summer club go?
James Cooper says
I haven’t been that productive this week. I’ve slept pretty badly (awake 1am to 5am two nights…), it’s one of the symptoms of my ME/CFS. Hopefully I’ll sleep better next week!
However, I’ve done some more to get some of my sites more mobile friendly. The red arrows (the UK Air force stunt display team) visited my town this week and got some cool photos from my front garden! http://www.flickr.com/photos/jpc101
And… due to popular demand (ok Eric and Marcus!) here’s some ukulele videos!!! http://vimeo.com/jpc101
Marcus Williamson says
Just saw the vids. Stellar stuff
Eric Dye says
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are awesome.
(Nice mic, BTW.)
James Cooper says
Thanks guys! It’s one of these: http://www.studioprojectsusa.com/b1.html I use it with a mini mixing desk going into a firewire audio interface
Eric Dye says
Looks fancy!

This week I’ve been working on re-launching my Christians in Open Source blog, http://christianoss.org/
Part of that was writing a Python script to pull the previous week’s top stories from my Christians in OSS Daily “newspaper” and stick them into a blog post on the site. This script runs automatically every Saturday evening, so that I don’t have to do it by hand.
Eric Dye says
You should write some posts for us. Get some cross-traffic from your posts, here. https://churchm.ag/contribute/

Cool! We used to have a friend named Kevin who covered similar topics. Worth checking out: http://opensourcechurch.com/
