When you see the victories and pop-o-wheelies on Saturday Sunday Share, you might get the impression that everyone comes by creative media and tech easily. But the truth is, we all started at the same place and we all fall flat on our face.
Here’s a look at last week’s rockstars:
- Jonathan Iguina – is a blogging pastor.
- Raoul Snyman – is an OSS champion.
- Frank Gantz – is a consistent blogger.
- Paul Clifford – is Superman.
- Eric J – is a matrimonial web dev.
I call them rockstars, but they’re really hard workers. They know how to stick things out when stuff gets tough and they’re always willing to try something new.
Here’s to you, ChurchMag Saturday Sunday Share, let’s see what you have for us this week!
Jon Cook says
Busy week for us! Created a bunch of stuff:
– A sermon intro for our series “Free” http://vimeo.com/36607799
By the way, if anyone finds this useful for a sermon at their church, it’s a free resource from us. Feel free to use it!
– A few videos to demo songs for a new album we’ll be releasing to raise funds that benefit Agape Ministries and their efforts to eliminate sex trafficking in the world.

– A typography project highlighting a quote from the message:

More to come. God’s doing awesome things – isn’t it awesome to get the chance to serve Him with the gifts and talents He gave us?

Been busy with various projects but Monday was a significant day for my Wife and I so I wrote a blogpost. Seeing as my blog has mostly turned in to a photoblog it meant that this post was the first blogpost with some real meaning to it in a long time:

You tore it up last week! Way to go, man!
Paul Clifford says
Let’s see. Just to prove I’m not Superman ;).
Last week, I sold some stuff on eBay. Finished editing a promo video. Started a redesign of my blog (thanks to the HTML kickstart files). Oh and thanks to an article on Lifehacker, I’m trying to get rejected at least once a day. I don’t count being ignored as rejection, so it’s actually harder to do than you’d think.
Now, maybe I can find some paying clients so my wife doesn’t kill me. 😉
I do know that I love talking to churches about using tech more than anything, so I’m hoping to figure out how to do more of that. I do have a possible speaking gig; I’ll take prayers in that direction. 😉
Eric Dye says
You should consider doing some guest posting for us. Make a couple of bucks, get your name out there, and talk to churches about using tech more.
Praying for you man. 🙂
James Cooper says
Last week I mainly had manflu.
However, I managed to hack together a cool jquery fadey background image thing that I’m hoping to use on a client’s site. Should be nifty!
Eric Dye says
Can’t wait to see it an upcoming Saturday Sunday Share!
(Manflu — LOL!)
Eric Dye says
Just Googled it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_flu
Mark Robinson says
So you spent the week creating mucus?
Scott Reyes says
I did a Standard Theme customization for the MX Locker, the greatest motorcycle transportation system, and it is also a great looking tollbox. My brother invented this and we have patent pending on the design. We are currently working with a product engineer to get an manufacturer ready design with plans to offer the product for sale by the end of the year.. You can check it out at http://mxlocker.com/blog.
This is the first product from a company that my brother and I have started.
Eric Dye says
NICE! Me likes.
Scott Reyes says
And Dreamhost is down so you won’t be able to see it right now.
Eric Dye says
Saw it Monday. Thankfully it wasn’t still down. #newhost
