IT’S THE WEEKEND!!!
About time, right?
Now, for a little bit of Saturday Sunday Share!
Week after week, many of you from the ChurchMag community share with us what you’ve done for the past week.
Week after week, I am inspired by the diversity and creative richness that is the ChurchMag community.
Week after week, I am certain that this is the most awesome Church tech community on the World Wide Web.
Last week was no exception as you brought a bunch of awesomeness:
- Frank Gantz – shared some awesome blogging.
- Jason Bradley – launched an awesome blog and more!
- Raoul Snyman – shared a link to a an awesome interview.
- Jeremy Smith – told us about some of his awesome work.
- James Cooper – continues to be all-around-awesome as usual.
Now, let’s see what you’ve got to share this week!
BE AWESOME!
Joanna says
My only blog post this week was “13 things I learned on a mission trip”, a post about some serious and some silly things I learned on a recent missions trip. http://www.joannamuses.com/2012/01/13-things-i-learned-on-mission.html
I also took my first step into buying online advertising. Since I’ve always been on a pretty tight budget for website related expenses I’d never brought ad space before but ad slots came up on theblazingcenter.com. It is a site I really like and it only cost $15 a month so I decided to give it a shot. I did the ad graphics pretty quickly so I could secure my spot. Will probably redo them to make the ad more effective.
Frank Gantz says
Pancakes, play dough and duct tape all in one list? Great post.
James Cooper says
Great post and neon pancakes look ‘interesting’!
Joanna says
They were indeed interesting looking. Neon pancakes wasn’t something we planned. While we were cooking some of the teens went rummaging through our supplies box and found the colouring that was meant for something else and decided it had to go in the pancakes.

AWESOME!!!
Frank Gantz says
This is my link sharing post. Would love any feedback on how it could be better. http://www.frankgantz.com/concierge-13/
Eric Dye says
A linked post to ChurchMag 😉
Jonny Solari says
Sey up my first non-personal blog, blogthechurch.com. I’m excited to see how things go!
James Cooper says
I see you’re using a theme that’s quite popular round here 😉
Eric Dye says
Very cool. It’s exciting diving into a new endeavor!
Jon Cook says
Two videos created, both available for any church/ministry to use for FREE:
1st is a “call to worship” or worship gathering intro video:

2nd is a series intro called “All Things New” (we’ll be making a complete graphics set available soon also, including bulletin, screen graphics, etc):

Love the videos you guys made. Thank you for sharing!
Frank Gantz says
I really like these, too. I have bookmarked and look forward to more.
Eric Dye says
Great stuff, Jon! Love these shares!
Jason Bradley says
Thanks for the shout out! This week I have been working on a child theme of twenty eleven theme. It’s a work in progress, but here’s a link to where it’s progressing:
http://contracts.everchangingmedia.com
I also wrapped up a project using Standard Theme. It’s currently parked at http://smyrna.isbaking.com
Eric Dye says
Great stuff, Jason!
James Cooper says
Finally got a couple of standard theme sites live!
http://www.sshag.org/ (bad domain – I had nothing to do with it!!!)
http://www.bmw2002.co.uk/ (also got a forum set-up using vanilla on the site as well)
I also got a pair of these headphones: http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_en.nsf/root/private_headphones_mp3_classic-line_502817 WOW! small but simply stunning sound from anything I throw at them. (Also really nice that the 3.5mm plug is so slim they fit directly into the recessed socket on my original iPhone – always used an adapter before!)
Eric Dye says
WOOT! Great stuff, James. Love the cans!
Becky says
I’ve been watching Code Orange Revival online and blogged a few of the nights I caught it live. http://tijuanabecky.wordpress.com/2012/01/20/code-orange-revival-night-10-notes-bishop-t-d-jakes/
Have also been looking at lots of free children’s ministry curriculum at http://open.lifechurch, and also think that neon pancakes sound great!
Joanna says
Thanks for pointing out the life church resources. Will bookmark that for when we get to planning next year’s holiday program
Joshua Poe says
We use open.lifechurch.tv all the time from Children to Youth to Adult curriculum. Quality stuff!
Frank Gantz says
I like the way you report on these conferences. I watched the Code Orange session with Matt Chandler.
Eric Dye says
😀
Raoul Snyman says
Wow, it’s almost time for the next SS Share, and I only just caught up to this one now.
Well, didn’t do much to write about last week, but I did manage to write a *very simple* cross platform (eventually open source) password manager, complete with encrypted database. I’m still trying to find a name for it, but when I have I’ll upload the source to Launchpad.net and let you know where to find it.
Eric Dye says
… and THERE he is!
